Background

For over 20 years, the University at Buffalo has engaged U&S Services to help automate building controls and optimize energy consumption throughout its 125+-building campus.

U&S conducted a full energy analysis to benchmark and streamline energy usage across the campus for the current buildings and new construction. We also made significant improvements to the campus energy management and environmental controls systems by adding features like independent yet integrated zone controls in residence halls to reduce energy usage and increase savings. Several of the new buildings earned a gold or silver LEED rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
