Customer Profile: Hamburg High School is a public K-12 campus in Hamburg, New York, serving over 1,000 students with infrastructure that, until recently, relied on mid-century mechanical systems.
Faced with aging equipment and rising operational demands, the district prioritized modernization of its central heating plant to improve efficiency, reliability, and long-term performance.
Customer Challenge: Hamburg High School was operating with original steam boilers installed in 1954. These aging systems were increasingly inefficient, difficult to maintain, and nearing the end of their operational life.
In addition to replacing outdated equipment, the district aimed to modernize its heating approach by transitioning from a steam-based system to hydronic heating. This required a completely redesigned boiler room layout and a new system approach to support improved efficiency, control, and long-term reliability.
Stark Tech Solution: Stark Tech Equipment partnered with project engineers to design a new boiler room that would support the transition to a hydronic heating system.
The collaboration focused on optimizing system layout, improving performance, and ensuring long-term operational benefits for the school.
The scope of the work included:

- Equipment selection aligned with durability and lifecycle goals
Project Result:
The new boiler system was successfully commissioned in September 2025 and is fully operational.
