Stark Tech Expands Board with Utility Grid Expert

Buffalo, NY – Stark Tech, a leader in facility and energy optimization, has recently expanded its board of directors. Included in those additions is Larry Reilly, lecturer at Yale University, who is a utility grid expert.

Larry brings more than 30 years of experience understanding the electric grid having served as President and CEO of Central Vermont Public Service Corporation (CVPS) from March 2011 through June 2012. Prior to joining CVPS, he spent 26 years with National Grid USA and its predecessor company, New England Electric System (NEES), in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility including President of the NEES Distribution Companies and Executive Vice President, Legal and Regulatory. He currently serves on the Boards of Green Mountain Power Corporation, Vermont Electric Power Company, and Daymark Energy Advisors as Treasurer of the Samuel Huntington Foundation, Inc.

This year, Stark Tech’s board made the decision to expand its capabilities to include clean-tech solutions in response to new regulatory guidelines and government incentives pushing renewable integration. Stark Tech implements solutions that help stabilize the power grid, so the lights “stay on” when the power goes out.

“Having Larry on our board is critical as we expand our capabilities into the renewables market,” said Tim Geiger, President of Stark Tech, a turnkey solutions provider to the building services and renewables industries. “We chose to move into this vertical, because our customers are needing new sources of power to continue operating while dealing with an unstable power grid.”
