Buffalo, NY – Stark Tech is proud to announce that our Company has been honored with the Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Award.
Stark Tech received the Sustainability Impact Award in the “Impact to My Customers (Partners)” category. This award recognizes Stark Tech’s 30+ year partnership with a premier institution in the State University of New York (SUNY) system. Together, Stark Tech and the university combined their efforts to reduce campus carbon emissions, improve energy efficiency, and support the university’s long-term sustainability goals.
The Schneider Electric Sustainability Impact Awards celebrate its industry partners that are driving measurable change in electrification, decarbonization, and digitization. Recipients were evaluated for their commitment to the principles: Electrify, Reduce, and Replace, as well as their efforts to Strategize, Digitize, and Decarbonize — the pillars of a more sustainable and electric world.
“The Sustainability Impact Awards serve as a beacon, illuminating the remarkable decarbonization endeavors of our customers and partners,”
– Aamir Paul, president of North America Operations for Schneider Electric
Stark Tech has collaborated with the university over the years to integrate power monitoring and building operations systems across its three campuses, which encompass almost 200 buildings on 1,100+ acres. By installing monitoring systems like Power Monitoring Expert and EcoStruxure Building Operations software, Stark Tech helps the university optimize its energy usage and contributes to reducing the university’s carbon footprint.
“This award from Schneider Electric is an honor and a validation of the work we’ve been doing for more than 30 years with the university,” said Randy Urschel, Chief Executive Officer of Stark Tech. “Our shared vision of sustainability, combined with smart building technology and data-driven insights, has helped the university become a national leader in climate action.”
“We believe sustainability is not just a goal, it’s a strategy that integrates technology, solutions and expertise in energy efficiency, electrification, and decarbonization,” added Urschel. “This award reinforces our commitment to helping organizations accelerate their transition to a cleaner, more efficient future by being their energy solutions provider, transforming their goals into reality.”
Schneider Electric determines the winners of its Sustainability Impact Awards through a multi-stage process involving Schneider Electric employees and senior leaders. Specifically, a jury of Schneider Electric employees selects country/zone winners during Phase I. Then, a separate jury of regional senior leaders chooses regional winners from the pool of country/zone winners in Phase II.
Finally, global winners are selected from the regional winners in Phase II.
