Experienced building solutions executive and industry leader to drive strategic partnerships, market development, and expansion
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Aug. 24, 2026— Stark Tech, a leader in intelligent building solutions, energy optimization, and technology-driven infrastructure, today announced that Jeff Groat join the company as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. In this newly appointed leadership role, Jeff will be responsible for advancing Stark Tech’s strategic partnerships, accelerating market development, and identifying opportunities for expansion and long-term growth.
Jeff brings more than three decades of leadership, sales, operational, and business development experience across the building automation, HVAC, energy, mechanical services, and technology industries. Throughout his career, he has built and expanded businesses, developed national accounts, cultivated manufacturer and channel relationships, and helped organizations enter new markets.

Most recently, Jeff has held senior leadership responsibilities with Lion’s Share Company, where he has overseen a group of six operating companies, including Wadsworth Solutions, Wadsworth Service, Wadsworth Energy, Wave Electric, Warner Mechanical, and Imperial Heating & Cooling.
During his tenure, he helped transform the organization from a traditional mechanical contractor into a comprehensive building solutions provider built around long-term customer relationships and expanded service offerings.
His industry leadership extends internationally through his service as a Schneider Electric International Board Member, representing North America as one of seven individuals selected from thousands of partner offices worldwide to advise the company on customer expectations, product strategy, innovation, internal processes, and voice-of-the-customer initiatives.
In his role at Stark Tech, Jeff will leverage this extensive network and experience to develop relationships with strategic partners, customers, technology providers, and other industry stakeholders. He will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities and developing scalable partnership opportunities, strengthening existing industry relationships, and support the company’s continued geographic and market expansion.

Jeff’s career began in the United States Air Force, where he served as a Cryogenic Plant Supervisor in West Germany and later as a Cryogenic Engineering Instructor at the Community College of the Air Force. His background also includes plant management with BOC Gases and public service as an Austintown Township Trustee and Chairman of the Board.
