Stark Tech Expands Board of Directors with Addition of Labor Relations Expert

Buffalo, NY – Stark Tech, a leader in facility and energy optimization, has recently expanded its board of directors with a Labor Relations Expert. Included in those additions is Amy Shiley, Vice President of National Fuel Gas Distribution Company.

Amy joins the board to bring outside expertise and leadership in labor relations to the board and will lead the Compensation Committee. Stark Tech has grown at an employee growth rate of roughly 2X annually for the last 10 years and will continue to grow.

Amy has held various positions in employment services, training, workers’ compensation, and employee relations. Eventually, Amy also assumed responsibility for the payroll and employee benefits areas at National Fuel. Most recently, she became involved with Labor Relations, serves on the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Management Committee, and is a COVID response team member. She also oversees the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiative.

Throughout her career Amy has been involved with contract negotiations with benefit plans, plan administration, compliance initiatives, audit response and testimony.

“Amy’s experience in labor relations, contract negotiations and ESG criteria will be crucial as we continue to grow and bring new talent and capabilities to Stark Tech,” said Tim Geiger, President of Stark Tech. “In order for Stark Tech to continue to grow and service our customers’ needs we need to attract and maintain top talent.”

Stark Tech offers turnkey solutions to the building services and renewables industries. This year, Stark Tech’s board made the decision to expand its capabilities to include clean-tech solutions in response to new regulatory guidelines and government incentives pushing renewable integration. Stark Tech implements solutions that help stabilize the power grid, so the lights “stay on” when the power goes out.
